West End is a Protestant Christian church of the Presbyterian form of government. It was founded in 1628 by Dutch settlers to minister to the young city for people of a mixture of languages, cultures and styles of life. We still seek to be an inviting, inclusive congregation for singles and families, for old and young, and for people on varied journeys of faith, expressive of the awesome variety of people in this great city.

Yes. Childcare is available during church school and worship services, from 9:45-12:30 every Sunday.

By subway, #1 train to 79^th Street and walk two blocks south and one block west to 77^th and West End Avenue. Or take the #2 train to 72^nd Street and walk north five blocks and west one block.

By bus, take the #104 to Broadway and 77^th Street and walk one block west. Or take the M5 on Riverside Drive to 77^th Street and walk east one block to West End Avenue.

By bus from the East Side, take the 79^th Street crosstown bus to 79^th and Broadway and walk two blocks south and one block west.

We welcome the opportunity to baptize children. Because the entire congregation is godparent to each child baptized, ordinarily we baptize only the children (or grandchildren) of church members. In any event, each situation would be discussed with the Pastor and the Elders of the church.

We do not rent space. Occasionally, when we can, we make space available free of charge for local, non-profit groups. If you think your organization meets these criteria, please mail or fax us a letter telling us who you are, what your group does, and when you would need to meet.
